The idea of creating a collection based on Ottoman and Turkish heritage, with European fashion consciousness and American spirit Taka was born in 2005. Thus combining the best of three continents and cultures Taka’s bohemian-chic style became the concept of the brand. Taka prints relate to historical motifs and ceramic tiles which once adorned buildings and palaces. Taka is known today for the exclusive gorgeous fresh prints they create each season. The decorative embroideries used as embellishments each represent a region of Turkey and have their own story and meaning, adding original touch and expression to the garments. They all are hand made with great care by village women, which provides them with substantial income to support their social economical situations.
