Kathleen Cook 2009

Kathleen Cook 2009Kathleen Cook Swim evokes classic feminine glamour, portrayed by iconic beauties like Brigitte Bardot and the style and spirit of the 50's and 60's French Riviera. At the same time, the collection reflects an understated sexiness that isn't provocative, but always confident. The 2009 debut collection offers unique details and imaginative shapes in a refined palette and vintage inspired prints. The styles are nuanced and sophisticated, balancing glamour, whimsy and elegance. From her childhood summers growing up on Cape Cod to her teenage years as a lifeguard, Kathleen's favorite memories are of times spent in a swimsuit. Kathleen learned to sew from her mother at age 10 and her early interest in fashion led her to New York City and Paris to study fashion design at Parsons School of Design. After graduation Kathleen went on to design for top American brands including Nike and Banana Republic. With the launch of Kathleen Cook Swim, Kathleen returns to her roots with a collection of timeless swim and resort wear.
