Gideon Oberson 2009

Gideon Oberson’s work is powerfully influenced by art, from music and dance to architecture, sculpture and painting. Each Oberson creation is first and foremost a three dimensional object, which is carefully designed from all dimensions, taking into account architectural values such as lines, angle, space, weight and proportion. The concept of fit is treated the same. Oberson’s work also brings to bare the fluidity, spontaneity and movement of dance, softening the architectural structure and bringing it powerfully alive. Born in Scio, Vicenza, Italy, Gideon Oberson studied fashion in Paris. He has lived and worked in Israel for many years, creating collections with a powerful international appeal.
